Council Hears Electric Aggregation Pitch

According to the Canton Daily Ledger, representatives from New Yorkbased energy purchasing consultant Good Energy made a presentation before Canton city council members at the Mechanical Committees meeting. Their pitch was simple; electric aggregation with Good Energy works, and can save residents money.

"We are the Sam's Club of buying energy," said Jerod McMorris, one of the Good Energy representatives from their Peoria office. He explained that they receive bids from 46 energy suppliers across the nation every time they run an aggregation.

Keith Pelham (1965-2013)

On August 10, 2013 Good Energy lost a very dear and valuable Texas team member. Keith Pelham, who had been a part of our organization since 2003,passed away from a sudden stroke he suffered at a family reunion the previous Sunday.

Scott Heath, managing partner of Good Energy and close friend of Keith, was asked to speak at Keith's memorial service. As a tribute to Keith and all of his great contributions to our organization, we print those words here.

The DNV KEMA Executive Energy Conference is the energy industry's premiere event focused on key business and policy issues within the energy field. The 24th annual conference was held March 25-27, 2013.

Charles de Casteja, Managing Partner of Good Energy, was asked to be a part of a panel discussion to explain what is Municipal Energy Aggregation (which in some states is also know as Government Energy Aggregation or Community Energy Aggregation). New Jersey Government Energy Aggregation

Good Energy has been and is currently offering Government Energy Aggregation consulting services to residents of New Jersey. This migration toNew Jersey means the effective, tested method perfected in Illinois will now be available to a new set of residents.

Currently, New Jersey residents have the ability to select their power supply company, and there are dozens of third-party suppliers sending mail and calling residents, soliciting them to switch. The April 9, 2013 Votes Are In

Residents of over 30 municipalities and counties in central and southern Illinois turned out on Tuesday to vote in favor of electric aggregation. These communities have voted to join together to form the third aggregation run by Good Energy, a municipal aggregation consulting firm. This aggregation will include over 100,000 households from these communities, and brings the total number of Illinois households saving money through Good Energy to approximately 600,000.

Municipal Aggregation Explained: WLDS Interviews Philip Carr of Good Energy

Philip Carr of Good Energy recently sat down with Gary Scott of WLDS radio in Jacksonville, IL to discuss the upcoming aggregation vote in South Jacksonville. Here are some highlights from their conversation.

The city of Jacksonville had a similar vote a year ago. Since then, residents inJacksonville have seen enormous savings through aggregation. Additionally, Good Energy has continued to help other communities. "We’re purchasing power for about 400,000 households," and those households are, "saving about 80 million dollars this year," says Carr. He added, "I'm here to get the word out and let people know this is a great opportunity to save some money on their electric bill." At this point, "about fifty percent of Ameren Illinois customers are purchasing power through government aggregation."
